Israel Kamakawiwo'ole - Somewhere Over the Rainbow
This is a beautiful song to begin with, but this version is just gorgeous. I love it.

| it's been such a long time since i wrote anything, this is ridiculous.
and even though i made the TIG blog, i never wrote anything there
either!
and yet, i have a new blog, well mostly it is an art gallery with a blog attached.
here it is:
http://www.terminus1525.ca/studio/view/4295
it's pretty neat, i put up some pics and web graphics that i've done recently.
i think i just like to find new neat sites to post make blogs on and
then make them pretty and forget about them for a while. no hope for
writing anything in there i guess. pathetic!
here's what happened since last time i was on here:
TM came to Vancouver for the first time ever, for the 2nd UPF tour. I
was in charge of ALL the registration for the event, and also making
the flyer and a bunch of other stuff. holy cow, i don't think i have
ever been more busy in my life. anyway, survived that..
moved into a new apartment, it's pretty sweet, 2 bedrooms so now we
have an office and we have a foosball table in our office. but the
people we rent from are thinking of selling the house so we might have
to move, which is really annoying but we'll figure something out.
Roo got promoted at work, he is now out of the warehouse and is a
"Service / Parts Coordinator", so he is doing pretty good and he is
very happy about that.
we're starting up the "Canadian Clergy Leadership Conference" here in
Vancouver, something like the ACLC, so i am helping set that up and am
doing some flyers and stuff for that, and also a website.
ooh, and i won't know if i get my PR until OCTOBER, geez! i guess i
just have to wait and see what happens. anyway i can't work until then,
no work permit, so i am probably gonna try to do some more volunteer
work so i can have something to do.
oh, and the bestest thing of all..
my mote nephew TAIYO is now 1 year old! happy birthday taiyo! :) we love you!
that is all.

| i'm making another blog, on another site.
why, you ask? why do you want another blog when you never write in this one?? well..
the other one is prettier. :)
http://jasonda.tigblog.org/
ok, seriously. the other things i like about this blog as opposed to xanga:
no ads!
nobody asking you to move to "premium"
no flaming basketballs next to your comments!
it's canadian! eh!
you can put your own banners at the top, etc. (the prettyness factor)
and the best thing about it is that the purpose and content of this site. here's the description from the front page:
"http://takingitglobal.org is an online community
that connects youth to find inspiration, access information, get
involved, and take action in their local and global communities."
-- Participate in our online community through creating your own updates page or posting comments on the discussion boards
-- Connect to resources listed in our database of youth-oriented events, organizations and scholarships
-- Voice your views and write articles about something that you are
currently working on, something that interests you, or an issue that
you have been researching
-- Express yourself artistically through submitting art to our Global Gallery
-- Understand more about the major issues facing the world today
-- Take action about something you care about using TakingITGlobal's Guide to Action
-- Make connections with young people around the world who share your interests
under the organizations listed, they even have one for our church. you can see it at http://orgs.takingitglobal.org/4691
i decided to tell you about this site because it's pretty unique. most
of the blog sites out there are full of whining and various forms of
self-centered angst. sometimes it's downright depressing! of course
there are people who write things that are uplifting amidst all the
drama (my sister being one), but the main focus of the site remains. so
it's very refreshing to find a community that is inspiring and
encouraging people to make a difference in the world, instead of just
complaining about it.
anyway, even though i am gonna write on that one now, i will still
update the xanga at the same time with the same content so it doesn't
matter which one you read.
so now all i have to do is think of something to write about. :p

| well i survived toronto.. barely! it was lots of fun, and i got to see
bimba. :) belated merry christmas and happy god's day (and new year) to
everybody. :)
anyway i will write more about toronto and christmas stuff later.
for now, here is a pic of us, from.. um.. our vacation.. in southpark.
heheh.
 as
you can see, roo is grumpy in this pic.

anyway.. peace :) i'll write more soon.

| well i got my camera, and it takes lovely pics, but the part that hooks
up to the computer is not working so i can't post anything. bah. but i
am going to take it with me to toronto and see if i can get it fixed
there.
we saw harry potta' and the goblet o' fi-ah on friday. kind of
disappointing for me, it didn't have the same spark as the other harry
potter flicks. but i'm sure diehard fans will adore it. i would say the
best part of the movie was the previews for all the summer 2006
releases. so far we are looking forward to seeing: superman, xmen 3,
the watchmen, v for vendetta, lady in the water, and probably a few
more that i forgot.
not much else going on, just trying to get everything sorted out for
the trip. i am gonna miss my hubby so much. :/ but i'll be back soon.
anyway, i'll be leaving on wednesday (30th), so goodbye to you all (except bimba!). :p

| so .. since i had to change the song, i figured i'd write something new anyway.
i'm going to toronto for a month (from nov 30-dec 24) to help out with
TP's tour. also i am gonna visit bimba (roo's sister). i'm glad i'm
getting the chance to go, but i'm gonna miss my hubby a lot. i know he
is going to be hopeless without me, too. but i'll be back for
christmas! :)
i bought a digital camera on ebay the other day, i am waiting for it to
get here. hopefully it will be ok. i am going to make some clay
critters and sell them on ebay so i needed a camera to take pics of
them. it's a vicious cycle, i know. anyway i will post a pic of the
critters once i get the camera, then you can see what i'm talking
about.
hmm not much else. i am gonna work on my immigration stuff now. :P rah.
